Granger represents a staunch conservative part of Texas, yet has accrued a moderate voting record in her 15 year-tenure. She is a prominent member of the Appropriations Committee who fits in well with the culture of spending. In 2011, she voted against most efforts to cut more spending, while supporting the debt ceiling, minibus, and omnibus bills. In 2008, she was one of the most vocal supporters of TARP.

The one saving grace of big spending Republicans form the south is that they are usually social conservatives. Granger is pro-abortion. She is a member of Republican Majority for Choice, and received campaign contributions from the Wish List, which supports pro-choice Republican women candidates. What is she doing representing the outskirts of Forth Worth for 15 years?
