Lynn Westmoreland has a pretty good voting record for most of his years in the House.  He got off to a slow start in the 112th congress by voting against the promised $100 billion in spending cuts and reverting discretionary spending back to 2006 levels; however, he has come on strong over the past year or so.  Unfortunately, he sided with leadership in their purge of some conservatives from their committee assignments.  As a member of the Steering Committee, the panel in charge of assigning members to standing committees, Westmoreland defended the purge of conservatives by intimating that those members acted like a**holes.
