Williams is in his 3rd term representing the 25th district of Texas, which stretches from Fort Worth to Austin. He is on the Financial Services and Transportation Committees and is a member of the Republican Study Committee. Like most Texas representatives post-Harvey, his votes for unfunded disaster relief are a perhaps-understandable disappointment. His overall 82.3% legislative score reflects a solid, if not imperfect commitment to fighting pork and waste. Williams is better than most in the nation’s largest Republican delegation, but he could do better.
