Weber is in his 3rd term representing the 14th district of Texas along the Gulf Coast. He serves on Foreign Affairs and Science, Space, and Technology. Weber holds an 82.3% legislative score. As his district was the hardest hit by Hurricane Harvey, there is a context for his many votes for unfunded disaster relief. His vote for the ill-advised Pelosi-Schumer debt ceiling bill is more difficult to defend. Weber has done reasonably well in Ron Paul’s old district, but he lacks his predecessor’s fiery commitment to challenging government waste.
