Babin represents Texas’s 36th district along the Gulf Coast and is in his second term. He sits on the Science, Space, and Technology and Transportation Committees. A staunch social conservative, Babin has been a lot less stellar on the fiscal side of the ledger with a combined legislative score of 79.6%. His district was hard hit by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 so his votes for unfunded disaster relief are more understandable than his support for the bloated 2018 budget, but clearly this district can do better than its current representation.
