Frank Lucas represents the Oklahoma panhandle, the most conservative part of the one of the most conservative states, yet he has the worst voting record of the OK delegation – a mediocre delegation to begin with. It’s rare to find a Republican in a red state with a less than 50% rating from Heritage Action, but Lucas has achieved this dubious distinction, having voted with the liberal Democrats more often than with conservatives in this Congress.
This nearly quarter-century incumbent is the Chairman of the Agriculture Committee. Lucas uses his position to enslave rural American into dependency on government. He never saw a subsidy that he didn’t like, and is to the left of Nancy Pelosi on farm subsidies. He is the quintessential red state statist who is working to make his conservative constituents as dependent on government as blue state liberals.
