First elected in 2010, Yoder is a 4-term member representing Kansas’ 3rd district, and chairs both the Appropriations and Legislative Budget committees. He serves on the Judiciary Committee as well. He has been a longtime member of both the conservative Republican Study Committee, but in the 115th Congress, joined the RINO Republican Mainstreet Caucus. It showed with his disappointing votes to back the bloated Essential Air Service, the debt-ceiling increase, the SCHIP extension and the many other cuts of pork in the 2018 Bipartisan Budget. Yoder’s got a C- grade of 72 from Heritage Action. The 3rd district can do much better.
