Diaz-Balart is in his 8th term representing the 25th district of Florida, centered south of Miami. He sits on Appropriations and is a member of the Main Street Partnership. His current legislative score of 39.6% reflects his “bipartisan” values – which mean in practice voting more often with Nancy Pelosi than with conservatives. Like several other south Florida Republicans, Diaz-Balart is less of an authentic conservative than a liberal with a get-tough-on-Cuba stance. Whether the 25th could do better than this RINO is debatable, but he’s worth primarying.
