In his 4th term, representing the 6th, Schweikert has remained the conservative stalwart he showed every sign of being in his first year in Congress. While many freshmen folded under the pressure from leadership, Schweikert was actually removed from the Whip team because of his conservative dissent; that early promise is backed by the 94% Heritage Action rating he currently holds. He voted with conservatives on every major spending bill in 2017, is a member of the Republican Study Committee and sits on the Joint Economic Committee and Financial Services.
